All About The Rome City Pass

When I visited Rome last year, I was surprised by how many tourists the city has, and, of course, with the access to the main monuments. At that time, perhaps out of ignorance on my part, I didn’t care much for looking around for more information about buying tickets to the capital’s tourist attractions. Result: I lost some precious time at ticket offices and in the entry queues.

I recently learned about Rome City Pass and found it brilliant. The pass costs € 65 and has some excellent advantages:

– free access to the Basilica of St. Peter without queuing, with audioguide

– entrance to the Colosseum – also with audioguide

– transport from and to Ciampino or Fiumicino airport

– free tourist bus Hop-On Hop-Off

– 20% off tours and other monuments in the city, including the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel

The good of the Rome City Pass is that is all done online and by email and, unlike other cards like this one, has no 24h or 48h limit. So you can visit the monuments and the attractions when you want, according to your own travel plan.
